why didnt he make any productions in the early 80's like everyone else or why didnt any lp's come out under his name ? was he no good at the time ?

he was really too young in that time. he was trying to be a singer not a producer. you dont start out your career producing. if you look up the history of any producer they had to work there way up to that position and sometimes it takes many years.

He was still pretty young at the time..Hugh Mundell produced his first song "Speak the Truth", credited to Little Junior Reid.

Well it has been many years and now He has found success, as a producer, on his own "JR LAbel". Nothing like his mid 80's output , when he wasn't producing. But think about it, his stuff was also so sweet because of who was producing him: Mundell, Junjo, Sugar, Joe Gibbs, Jammy...and so forth. Great Stuff!!! ADambom

I also like his songs very much, but the black uhuru era with jr reid is not my favourite...I think Jr Reid as a Solo Artist is much better...But I would like to see or to have a live recording in his black uhuru era...

Yes, there is Live in New York City, from the end of the 80's.
