Re: i want tips for old roots bands
I know them too man
I dont speak of rocksteady, i have some tapes where i got some roots band who sound very old but i dont know who sing... Simply wonderfull, and it sound really a great period, but so hard to find the good ones.. :/
for exemple:
Keith & Tex on Stop that Train/"hypnotic eyes", C.R.A.Z.Y!!!
The old abyssinians tracks as "jason white", "love come and goes"
African brothers on African brothers/"Rightgeous Kingdom" and others on the album
Burning Spear on Rocking time/"bad to worst"
Heptones "i am lonely"
Ken Boothe "Black gold and green" OMG, PERFECT SONG!
Devon Morris "su su pon rasta" SNIF'
Lot of tracks on Trojans Rastafari box set and roots box set...
If someone identify my tastes for it ô plz tell me what is good and melancholic as it! Its here that i have more emotion prolly! Great THX already

I find the trojan collections to be extremely informative.
