Bolivar has made his transition to the other side R.I.P.

Post by Siegi »

Info I got from Ron.

This is what Andell wrote on his FB-page:

I came home early Monday morning to the news that my ex-singing-partner, Bolivar, based in Miami, has made his transition to the other side... It was a good journey...a friend, a brother and a musical partner, singing with me on our biggest hit in 1971, WOMAN A GINNAL." The first song Michael - Tony "Black Uhuru" Rose ever recorded was on the 45 flipside of "Ginnal,", as a DJ! From high school at Ardenne, to when he co-owned G.T. Sound System, to adulthood, to being parents and grandparents, Bolivar and I were tight, along with Sly Dunbar, Donald McDowell, Claude Narr, Owen "Bassie" Reynolds, The McDonald brothers -- Ronald and Michael, and others. For over 52 years, Bolivar and I were good brethrens. R.I.P...Newton, AKA: Bolivar. One love, as you settle on another plane in the universe.
