As far as I recall they are the same although they/it aren't particularly good, lots of gaps and a few errors, any edition of "Rough Guide To Reggae" beats it hands down.

They are basically the same - Virgin being an updated version (1998) of Guinness (1994).

Not bad, but not totally reliable, and missing some info/persons.
