I can't recommend this book highly enough. I've had vol 3 of Rhythm Wise for about 15 years & have found it to be an invaluable source of information. Each riddim has a written piece on it's history , evolution etc which is then followed by hundreds of other tunes which are sung over that particular riddim.
Fantastic if you can't get enough of a certain riddim, & hours of fun making 'riddim' mix tapes with which to impress friends, girls, your mum etc.

Great to finally get Vols 1&2 after so long as they've been impossible to find & are very rare.
Thanks to all involved in this reissue.

I've got the original publishings and they have been invaluable. Hopefully if they sell well then Ray will create a vol. 4 and perhaps even 5 & 6 further on.
