Studio vibes at Harry J

Post by anbessa »

Here is the first little teaser for my new riddim, called "Tarab". As Prince Alla wasn't feeling ready, I took the mic... Quite an experience to be singing in front of these guys... :D

Coming later this year, on one 12", with cuts by Prince Alla, Maurice Roberts (his first ever solo song) and Little Roy. And plenty horns too...

Hope you'll enjoy

Great! Why do I recognize the rhythm? Is it a re-cut (could be a super classic but I'm drawing blank here)?

Thanks Kalcidis !

It's an original riddim, but of course I can't swear these chords have never been used in a song before... :-)

By listening to it afterwards, it reminded me of "Only a smile" on the main part, but there is a different bridge.

Riddim sounds great. I'm on computer speakers at work and going off memory but I think it reminds me of Pablo Moses - We Should Be in Angola. And that' s intended as a compliment, not an accusation. :-)

"We should be in Angola" being one of my favorite songs, I do indeed take it as a compliment ! :-)

Thanks !
