New Dub LP Re-Issues

Post by AnorakTrev »

Over the last month or so there have been some crucial re-issues ! Big thanks to the labels involved for giving us these gems ! Namely OnlyRoots Records for " Clive Chin Presents Randy's Dub " , a 180 gram slab of vinyl with excellent sound quality . Also Bond Export Company/DKR's offerings of " Dub Out Her Blouse & Skirt - Vol. 1 " along with " Dub Off 'Har Blouse & Skirt - Vol. 3 " again excellent sound with just a slight reduction of the top-end .

We all know how much the originals go for , that's if you can track one down ! So enjoy what these labels have given us - bless 'em !!

I've got the B&F version of Randy's dub. Are they much different? Was thinking if I should pick it up.

Nice with Blouse & Skirt pt. 3 which I've been trying to find for quite some time.

Hi there Kalcidis ,

I have only got the B&F release on cd as " Forward The Bass " , which has a host of extra tracks on it , have you got a vinyl version ?

Yes. Got it on vinyl. It's 7 tracks per side if I'm not mistaken. So not the bass heaviest pressing but not bad at all still.

OnlyRoots issue has 10 tracks , I'm assuming the same as the original release , but with track titles .

The time upon release of "Forward The Bass" I've been told that it is missing some tracks of the original "Randy's Dub". That's for the reason that these tracks were unuseable due to bad quality of their sole vinyl source.

I don't know if that is true, but remember that an original press is really rare as hell. I would pay a fortune for a decent copy.

That is interesting. One more proof that we can take no info for granted unless we have empiric experience.

By the way, you don't wanna get rid of it for big bucks? ;-))

To keep things simple:

For "Forward The Bass" owners, what's in it acoustically in "Clive Chin Presents Randy's Dub"?
