in the 90's and early 00's CDs were in, vinyl was out
List the great albums - not compilations - that didn't make it to LP.
A few that come to mind:
> Steel Pulse, Rage & Fury, 1997 (some absolute killers in this one, notably the Ku Klux Klan remake - monster. How did this not make it even as a 12"?...: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9Sh-ntUlZY)
> Gregory Isaacs, Dapper Slapper, RAS recs. Good stuff in there, as you run dry from his better recordings
> Loads of Clinton Fearon albums

Cultural Roots - Pretty Woman (Lagoon CD, 1992) - A mid-80's set that was only released on CD in '92.

Junior Reid "Original Foreign Mind" is one of the 10 best LPs I own (imho). Blackman seed on the Stalag Riddim mixed by Peter Chemist is the bomb. Never saw a CD release sadly and the sound on my LP is kinda shabby.

Original Foreign Mind was released on CD on the Black Roots label. I had a copy myself up until a year or so ago when I gave it to a friend

Really? Well then our Roots Archives is wrong. It doesn't mention the CD. But thanks for the info. Now I guess I'll have to look out for it.Rootsman wrote:Junior Reid "Original Foreign Mind" is one of the 10 best LPs I own (imho). Hi Gabranth
I bought my copy from System Records about 6-7 years ago. It was the same as this but I never realised it was a CDR. I only realised tonight when I did the search
http://www.ebreggae.com/Reggae/CD/83594 ... d-CDR.html
I can say though that from memory the sound quality was pretty good
Regards

@Rootsman: Yeah I found that one yesterday too. Sadly it's out of stock. I don't mind that CD-R thing. The sound quality can't be much worse than my record anyway
Thanks again!
