Hi roms77(and all), try this link below,

http://www.toxteth.com/TMPt4en095i80.html

it should play the file through, once it has finished you should find a copy on your local machine at: C:\Documents and Settings\your name\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
Sorry for the convoluted method but the net is not my strong point...

One thing I wouldn't be happy to see, is this file for sale anywhere on the net, it is a gift to all those who would like to have it. That's not aimed at anyone in particular, so please "no feel no way"

peace..:-)

Now i know the name of the track, the show was probably "Black on Black" but as far as i know this show was only running from 1982 so doesn't fit with the years u gave but with the show having the same name as the song i think this might be the one, perhaps the show was going in the late 70's but my info tells me 1982, the show was about black britains opinions and events and covered worldwide events.
thanks for ther track alvin, will take a listen now.

The Black Roots track which they played for a theme tune was from a show called "on The Frontline" a comedy. so totally different show. I'm just having a look to see if i can find some alternate possible shows for the dambala track.

Hi bwoyrough, it cannot be 1982 because Dambala had ceased to exist by then, and I remember watching several episodes myself at the time, so it must be in the region 78/79 before the band split..

interesting, i do seem to remember a series that went out at that time but can't find it in my lists, so will keep looking. If u have anymore info like who presented it or what kind of program, it might help, was it Channel 4?

bwoyrough, I seem to remember that it was not BBC or ITV so it can only be either LWT or C4. I remember there was a black presenter who was involved, his name was Lincoln ?, sorry I can't be more helpfull but 28 years is a long time...;-)
