another wackies question

Post by boom al cannibal »

Hi eveybody!

This weekend was a very lucky weekend for me.I found and bought the original 12" from 1983: Sugar Minott & lover D -'Hi Hello'

Does anybody know how many where made? The sleeve says that there where only 2 distribution
points, one in London ( dean street ) and the other one in the Bronx ( white plains rd. )so it can't be that much.

I found some info through google: the most succesfull wackies production was a 7" called 'wack rap' which was sold 6000 times.

Judging by how hard they are to track down, and the high prices some of them fetch, I am guessing that the 6000 mark probably is a 'high score' for Wackies releases. But i really don't know for sure.

I have that Hi Hello 12 inch, originally bought by a close friend of mine direct from the London address a long time ago...

And that they regular show up as old shop stock.
