Seems like Studio One is finally leveraging its great catalog to rip some post mortem financial rewards "à la tintin", ie fac similé of the OG issues, same artwork, best possible sound (to be confirmed)

Not made in Jamaica, for the better (unfortunately)

I have been commenting/asking this both here and on other forums: It seems these are only being released in the US, correct? Does anyone know if they will not come out elsewhere? (It will be a bit expensive in the long run if these will only be available as imports.)

YES: Yep Roc only for US.

Soul Jazz continues for UK Europe.

Dub Store seems firmly linked in on the vinyl 7's for Japan.

I've heard the JA based 7" repressing has come to an end...

Only label who have managed to work with how the territories used to be set-up....

I guess those last repress from original stampers with facsmilie labels a couple of years back was the last hurrah for the JA S1 7"s. I did notice that Soul Jazz has been outputting some 7" vinyl exclusively sold from their website. I ordered a a couple and enjoyed them. Really amazing that ebreggae...excuse me...EBRecords hardly carries any Studio One at all. No Pressure Sounds and dwindling Soul Jazz stock.

Thanks, as I thought then. Any suggestion what the best place to buy these at a fair price here in Europe would be?

I think that whole territory thing seems very outdated in this global world...

Your'e not wrong but obvious financial up-side for label. I doubt anyone but Studio 1 could manage it: a huge catalogue and deep fan base...

I've read that eBay the best place to look.

EB Records seems to be morphing into something different...

I'm not sure I understand, how is doing releases limited to certain territories a "financial up-side"?

That's for sure, I'm not so tempted to buy from them when I find "Venom-In league with satan" there.

Satanism would be the only religion I have no respect for, but perhaps I'm morphing this conversation into something else lol :D

I don't understand this resoning, why would you stop buing Reggae from them because there are other things for sale as well? I guess most Reggae fans would rather see that Ernie sticks exclusively to dwinding Reggae sales and then goes out of business, would that satisfy? Then you don't have to choose if you want to buy there or not, the option will be gone completely.

And by the way, I actually have *In League With Satan* in my collection, it hasn't contaminated my Reggae albums, nor ruined my ability to enjoy them. It is just a bit of silly rock theatrics, not a religious manifesto, nothing to take seriously. But then I guess you would never watch a horror movie either?

I have to say I am not a fan of religion in any form, and that aspect of Reggae is not my favourite part of that music either, so there you go.

But back on topic, will anyone be getting the *Studio One Radio Show*? What is it exactly anyway?

I understand that us Reggae fans are either not a large enough group or we do not buy enough from Ernie B for him to stay strictly Reggae, It would be nice if it was Reggae only (even though I like music from other genres).

I'm no authority on Venom and cant say whether they are real Satanists or not but if they are referring to themselves as Satanists I'm staying as far away from anything that has to do with them as I can.

Believe it or not, I'm a huge horror movie fan, have been since I was very young. The way I look at it, Horror movies are the only genre where a priest can be the hero who comes and save the day, or at least try. You can of course deal with evil themes without supporting evil and I see no problem in that.

I'm very critical to a lot of religion (the Christian rightwing make me wanna puke) myself but in one way or another I guess I would have to consider myself some kinda unorthodox Christian.

When all is said, if Ernie B start stocking stuff like Venom, King Diamond, Deicide etc... (or black metal in general) I will be less inclined to buy from there in the future. Anything else I'm cool with.
