Greetings Survival,

here's a transcription of

Twinkle Brothers - Free Us
0:19
The whole world is mourning
(the whole world is mourning)
In pangs of nature's birth (ooh) 0:36
In this harm which is dawning (ooh)

Till creation itself is set free
Till creation set free
Till creation set free

So, oh, oh, whoa oh, oh, whoa
Free us, set us free 1:12
From the garbage of decay
To enjoy the liberty of today

So, oh whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, oh whoa
Free us, set us free 1:38
From the garbage of decay
To enjoy the liberty of today

Ooh ooh
La da da da
Na na da da
2:04
Oh he that is that liberty divine (liberty divine)
Which is kindled by Jah Jah sublime
This little heart of perfection
The whole world is striving without rejection
Without rejection
They are striving, whoa, whoa, whoa
Without rejection
2:53
Behold the ways of dawn (behold)
Like herald to evil doers he is torn (behold)
The sun shall shine another day is born
So he know I and I shall never die nor scorn
Never die nor scorn
I shall never die, no whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa
(Never die) nor scorn

So, oh, oh, oh whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa
Free us, set us free
From the garbage of decay
To enjoy the liberty of today

So, oh, oh whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa
Free us, set us free
From the garbage of decay
To enjoy the liberty of today.

Peace,
Don Julian

Like many singers do, Half Pint is dropping some names at the end of Crazy Girl, right? It's definitely wrong but to me it sounds like...
... try to leave Pete, talk you dis. (Or he says just "P", Michael Palmer is called "Michael P." by Junior Reid too)
... try to leave Rungleton (or Rumble-Tom) hehe
... try to leave Myrie (like Buju Banton's surname)
... try to leave the one called John (or Jam?, doesn't sound like "Jah" to me)

Not very helpful I know, but maybe someone gets a brainstorm out of it. By the way... one of my all time favorite tunes this one.

Greetings Survival (and Gabranth)

This is what HP sings at the outro (3.10->)

You got to be crazy, if you try to leave me, ooh yay
You got to be crazy, if you try to leave Peter Chemist (the engineer)
If you try to leave Rangatan (drummer Marcus (Rangatan) Smith)
If you try to leave Myrie (the producer: Errol (Myrie) Lewis)
If you try to leave the one called John (co-producer Errol (John) Marshall)
You gonna end up in a steep position, ey
You must be crazy, if you try to leave me baby, whoa oh
You got to be crazy, if you try to leave me, ooh yeah
Warm and easy, oohoo, I give you loving, ooh yay
Nice and slowly...

First line: win some = Winsome (his girl at the time, he also named a tune after her, which the Rolling Stones covered as 'Too Rude'.)

First track on his clash album with Michael Palmer 'Joint Favourites' (1986) on the 'stalag' riddim.
Peace,
DJ
