Matrix with # Spiderman

Hi,

I bought a couple of Wayne Wade LP's. Aside the matrix numbers it also says 'Spiderman'. I recall seeing it before but my collection is too big to tell which LP it was. But sure it wasnt the Prophet label because these copies are the first I have got on that label.

Can somebody tell what that word 'spiderman'significate alongside the # matrix number. And is it original? It has nothing to do with the label spiderman?

I am not absolutely sure it's the same guy, but Spiderman (or Spider, as many artists call him) is an engineer who now works at Tuff Gong, where he is in charge of the dubplates' cutting. A very nice man, by the way.

Yep Anbessa, Thanks, your answer triggered me to do some research. Spider man also worked at Dynamics Studio in Jamaica in the seventies. Not sure it is the same man. But I think so. Well your answer gave me some direction thanks for answering so quickly. Many Regards and Happy Vibes.

and make the stamper to pres the albums/7".

Yes thanks Lion in the meanwhile I learned that he was the mastering engineer at dynamics, but only from the early 80's (around 1982/83) ...

So the Fire Fire album of Wayne Wade I bought with matrix '#DSI 125A Spiderman' is probably a repress from that period.

Oke so the original pressing got the DSR number (as usual). DSI probably indicates repress or something.
