Re: Wailing Souls on Live & Learn
im sorry but i think it was "reggae ina firehouse" cause after Garth left in 85 "lay it on the line" was released the following year without Garth it was a sound alike singer then in 87 "kingston xiv" wass released and in in 90 i think "reggae ina firehouse" was the last album they recorded for live & learn. all this could be wrong but as far as i new this info should be correct.

Thanks for the replies, I appreciate it.
I pretty much like all genres of Reggae-it just depends on the mood I'm in, but I prefer early 80's roots to mid-late 80's digital flavored roots music.
But I think I'll get both Inchpinchers and Reggae Inna Firehouse.
It doesn't really matter to me who is on the harmonies, Pipe has always defined the Wailing Souls sound to me.

Lay it on the line lp was my last Wailing Souls album.
And first album by the Wailing Souls for Live and Learn in there new line up.
"Between 85 and 92, we released like five albums, but they were like little underground albums. We also did an album for King Jammy's (Stormy Night) that was released on the Rohit label. The catalog from that period also included Lay It On The Line, Kingston 14, Reggae Inna Firehouse, and Wailing on VP Records.

Garth is not on the album.(Lay it on the line)
he left the group in 1985.
The line up is:
Winston Pipe Matthews / Lloyd Bread McDonald-
Winston Ziggy Thomas(Earth Disciples)
(see the liner notes on the album.)
