I would stay well away from Limewire. It's just dirty. Check Soulseek. There is some very good quality material that is not available anymore. But read the user notes before you download. They have an ethos. I buy as much revival, re-issue stuff as i can and MP3 is the very last resort. But the fact is, there are some serious collector's that have made some very rare vinyl now available on MP3 that you simply cannot get anymore. Unless you perhaps find it on e-bay at a crazy price, of which the artist will still not benefit either.

what about legal download purchasing? I discovered we can buy good reggae mp3 on reggaemusicstore.com , http://www.dancetracksdigital.com/ , and emusic.com , and also on various net labels. Any other suggestions?

Sorry I mean "don't make profit of it" lol
There is some music that cannot be reached other way than download, even buying re-issues the money rarely goes to the singer, which I do care about cuz I don't mind the producer/label making any money (Respect due to the Real producers that don't cheat the musicians)
Read any interview to old singers and you'll know, rarely they receive what they deserve, even with re-issues
