Yes, I thought so. I hasten to add I was just observing that this was the case and hope that in doing so didn't imply that I had ever bought a Jools Holland album!

the riddims are nice rootsy rockers riddims played by Sly & Robbie and a few other good 'uns. It's got that accessible Island vibe, it's roots, but it's definitely marketed at a wide audience, not really the kind of riddim you would have heard in the dancehalls a lot in those days, but nice & solid.
