Hi Ranking Trevor.

Those words you quote are from a recording i`ve been looking for.

It continues something like "I will never run away from this revolution day".

Can you help

Thanks

I always liked the rather simple saying used by the Gladiators:

"Don't watch the tool; the work it can do. Watch the man that behind it."

"Blessed is the man that walketh not.." is Psalm 1 from the Holy Bible. Proverbs are more like folk wisdom (of course you have proverbs in the bible too).
I like "every day the bucket a go a well, one day the bottom must drop out"
And of course Gladiators music is filled with great proverbs.
Who feels it knows it...

You never miss your water until your well runs dry
or
Cow never miss its tail til the butcher cut it off

Same meaning.

The one quoted at the start, about the counsel of the ungodly. Isn't that Prince Far I?

If you like proverbs (or Psalms) - and Prince Far I then you gotta love this LP:

His first, and just maybe his best vocal LP.

And of course...

"A time to sow and a time to reap... yes my friend." -- Lee Perry

Or any other variation of that famous proverb.

What about :

"A rolling Stone gathers no Moss"

I think it comes in a Welton Irie deejay cut for a Sylford Walker tune, and in many other songs probably.

And i like this one :

"What a man sow is what man reap"
McAnuff adds :
"you can't plant corn and expect to reap peas"
