Burning Sounds/Rockers/Vibrations Label Artists

Post by Medusah »

Hi everyone, I'm new. Actually I'm old, and searching for old UK Burning Sounds artists like Pablo Gad, Winston Fergus, Zambandis, and Jah Stitch that I've been wondering about for years.

I was a DJ on FM radio and in clubs from 1981 to 1999, so I have a fairly extensive reggae album, single, and CD collection. I've always wondered about these Burning Sounds artists. They were so good, yet they never really made it big like other UK artists--UB40, Mickey Dread, Maxi Priest, etc. Anyhow, I gave them lots of club and airplay, and believe me, they packed a dance floor!

A fellow from the Discog site sent me this link, so I'm hoping this pool of roots experts might have some info on these artists. Thanks for hearing me out.

Thanks and respect to you! You are the only other soul with a Zambandis record I've ever found!!! Browsing your posts and lists of records was just incredible for me. I want to pile up those gems and roll in them till I smell like them. Pant Pant.

I've always wanted that Slickers album, the Jr. Brown, and that whole Anthology of Reggae Series from the 70s that I only have a few of...

Do you guys burn and trade CDs through the mail? I'm sure I don't have but a couple of things you'd want since it looks like your collections are phenomenal!!!!

Certainly one of you has the Horace Andy with "The Love of a Woman"
And maybe Prince Buster's "No Jestering"

Oh, I am so EXCITED!!!
