Reggae bust its way into my life in the 1970s when I was a late teenager.

It bought me all kinda things. An understanding of different culture. So also some wisdom was brought to me by reggae music and the cultural movement that came with it.

Some great nights out at live shows and dancehall. Some great days and nights in listening to records with my idren.

I don't have a favourite, there's just too much excellent stuff to decide between this and that. There's some stuff I don't like, but so much stuff I do like.

So now I am trying to repay the debt by spreading the reggae vibes via my radio station.

Culture always appealed to me. The vocals are so inspiring. There's so much feeling in the lyrics and the way they are sung. They are a standard bearer for the roots movement.

I remember when a friend came home from the record shop with Africa Stand Alone many many years ago. We were all stunned as we sat and listened to this LP while blazing a challice.

Sometimes listening to Culture actually brings pain to my heart and a tear to my eye.
