Gregory Isaacs - Easy - TADS
Just got this yesterday and I am surprised at how good it is. Surprised because it sells so cheaply, if at all, on ebay. I waited a long while until really MINT copy came up.

Tonight I started on an old skool tip with the superb Prince Buster compilation:
Prince Buster - Fabulous Greatest Hits - Melodisc
This one really had the house rockin' - especially 'Ten Commandments' That one really had my lady winding up her waist.
Now I am on a lovers rock tip with an artist who I only recently discovered by taking a chance on an unheard 12 inch 45:
David Isaacs - Love and devotion - on Imperial records.
I love his vocal style and this LP is well worth hearing if you like the heady mix of ruff n tuff riddims and silky smooth lovers rock vocals.

re: leggo rocker's post previous: this David Isaacs lp, song "After All These Years", I cannot forget 8 mos. in exile after a divorce, living in a hollow wooden room and playing that song so loud my ears would bleed. amazing how music we love can become the soundtrack to our lives... tragically, nothing on my turntable but an empty cd case

Ites Leggo!
Thank you for your help. I also have a box with latest purchases. When they add up to 10 records, I wash them and replace the old inner sleeve by a new one with silk paper inside. The album jacket gets a clear protection sleeve. Then I pick up the most exciting record and play it, then another intersting one etc.
To have a top 10 box is a great idea. I will establish this!
Random selection sometimes is difficult to me. When I pick up a record I often select one more or just another one - all worth to be played. Then I put them all back in the box, thinking of sth. different to play...
)
Best thing is when I have other roots specialists at my home. They check my collection and like to listen to this or that and the next record....So they decide what`s on my turntable.
For tonight I have planned to play
LP The Reggaes feat. Marcia Griffiths
12" Owen Gray - Tree in the meadow
12" Patrick Alley - At the end of the rainbow
12" Jackie Edwards - Further you look
12" Tyrone Evans - God rest ye merry gentlemen
12" Jackie Edwards - Do you love me with J. Mitoo on the flip /Third World
12" Carlton Patterson - Poorest People with Bobby Ellis on the flip / Third World
12" The Chanters - Key to your heart / Burning Rockers
12" Clint Eastwood - Dry up your tears with Rev`s on the flip / Cha Cha
not to forget a strange thing call....
7" The Deltones - Chop Sticks ...which is a Rocksteady version of the flea waltz...

I have another record selection method. It's the random artwork thing on the RA front page!
I load it up, if an LP comes up that I have - I play it!
However, today's playlist has been dictated by a backlog of new arrivals all screaming out for playtime.
Last one tonight before heading off up the wooden hill to the land of dreams is:
Jah-I by the Jewels on Observer 12 x 45
B side: Wicked Eat Dirt featuring I-Roy
Great title that B side, Great songs too!
