Hi Sean,
I like some of your choices too, but have to admit that I find Scientist also slightly overrated...
Please keep in mind if you state ´Kamikazi´ to be a dull album, this could also hurt some listeners who love that album.
I had to rebuy ´Kamikazi Dub´ & as I am hopefully allowed to quote ´Jah Jerry´ (whoever he is):
The current resurgence in the popularity of Dub has resulted in the widespread re-issuing of albums in the genre, many of which it must be said would have been best left forgotten. With Prince Jammy´s ´Kamikazi Dub´, however, this is far from the case, a fact confirmed by the sheer quality of requests received by Trojan for the LP to be made available once again.
It´s popilarity is hardly surprising when one glances at the list of musicians involved in it´s making, which reads like a who´s who of Jamaican music. In addition, the tracks were cut at the famed Channel One Studio prior to being mixed by Jammy at King Tubby´s, the temple of Dub - a recipe for a classic Dub album if ever there was one to your prayers. TAKE MY WORD - IT DON´T GET NO BETTER THAN THIS. PLAY ON!

Hi Gibey
I have to agree with Jah Jerry!
Hi utodd
Thanks for those. I have a couple of those, but definitely need to try and track the others down.

Re: kamikazi dub
hello 6anbette, the Noel Phillips & Johnny O's are from their lp's for Jammy, but the Sugar lp links the most, forget the title?
another great link to a Jammy dub is I Man A Herbalist by Roman Stewart to Big Foot on one of Jammy's Greensleeves lp's, poss. Goldmine Dub.
more time...

Hi utodd
Thanks for these. "Bitter Sweet" is the Sugar lp, I think.
Particular thanks for the heads-up on Roman Stewart as I have a massive soft spot for him.
I must dust off "Goldmine Dub" as I do have it on vinyl somewhere.

Re: kamikazi dub
Does anyone know the vocal cuts to "Oragami Black Belt" and "Waterfront Gang War"? Do they exist?
Also is there a dub cut to Sugar's "Not For Sale" from "Bitter Sweet"? If not, is there a readily available extended cut I can get hold of? Incidentally, if the dub cut is on "Kamikazi Dub" please excuse my ignorance and please point me to it!
Any feedback/input gratefully accepted.
Thank you.

As you may know, I am a Sugar Minott fan - big time.
I have found that just about every Sugar track you find on an LP also has a 12 inch disco cut somewhere. These cuts are usually the ruffest and tuffest cuts and once you get them, you start to lose interest in the standard, too short, LP mix.
Having said that, I haven't yet found Not For Sale on 12 inch.
