Vinyl-shopping in Kingston, JAMAICA

Post by Rootsgal »

I spent two days at various record shops in Tuff Gong, Dynamic Sounds and a few others. There are some amazing brand new in the wrapper, but old reggae 12" and also 7".
I paid 220 JA which is a little over $3.00US for ANY 12"! I am carrying a bag of vinyl...I will not "check" vinyl since they fling the luggage so harshly.
Believe me, if you are having troubling locating any artist in vinyl, look no further.
I have Dynamic Sounds phone number on the back of a Gregory Isaacs 12" and also Mighty Diamonds "THE REAL ENEMY", if anyone wants to call, see if they have what your looking for and perhaps they will mail it via money order. I had no idea vinyl was so cheap in Jamaica. I suggested to all of them to start a vinyl-website. A good excuse to take a trip there.
BTW...also enjoying the World Cup Cricket events right now....Niceness....
