artist ID help on 12" disco LH003 - "Come on over"

Post by jahadambom »

This white label 12" Disco has the following MAtrix scratched on it: LH003 "Come on over"
I have pretty much narrowed it down to being on the 'Masai' Record LAbel PRoduced by Lowell Hill (thus the Matrix # LH003) circa 1982. Sounds like either Junior Moore or Derrick Lara, and both of them are featured on this label as well as the Burrells(Earl 16, Tony Tuff, Roland burrell & Jr. Bird) So I am having a hard time figuring who it is. Does anyone have this Disco with the label on it and the artist name?

Your prices are pretty funny. $15 for recent repress 7" singles. $23 for recent JA repress lp's that can be found in any record store that orders from Ernie B's.

According to the RKR database "Come on over" is by Derrick Lara. B-side is titled "Hello Stranger".

Out of left field would be if he didn't post a link to a web-store and I made the comment. If you post a link to your website, and are taking the piss price wise for common, current reissues, you have to expect a question mark to be raised. But don't let me stop you from buying, SDroots.

BELLYMAN, thank you for the answerr to my question.

Hey MGHIFI, this is certainly nothing to get upset about- I am aware that some of my prices can be above average, but at the same time you will find many more original press titles that are way cheaper than what you may find elsewhere (if you can even find it).... it's just a little thing called a MARKET. I wouldn't want anybody to buy from me if they werent happy with the price and thought they could get it elsewhere cheaper. The fact is, when I list my items, I take into consideration its availability elsewhere (worldwide, Ebreggae, etc.). but you must understand that I cannot change my prices everytime EBreggae rediscovers or rereleases another small batch of a particular title. Soon enough those too will be gone and maybe then my price will look more reasonable to you. You may also consider too, that this more recent press you speak of still may be different than the one I offer, I can let you know of the difference, all you have to do is ask me.

I frequent THIS forum ONLY because IT is a great resource for information regarding roots reggae vinyl- one of, if not THE best. It's not like I go from forum to forum advertising myself- you just won't see me anywhere else. I guess I thought it would be nice if I could not only offer some insight into the "Topic" but also provide a chance to own a copy of said "Topic" or something related. Besides, You might not appreciate the actual vinyl like some of us collectors do, so I understand if IT is no use to you if it is not in digital format. Adambom

I'm certainly not upset. If you read my post I said your prices were funny. Funny & upset are different emotions unless you take too much Ritalin.
