you know, the categories seem incomplete without that super frenetic 1969 sound that some call Skinhead music. it's allways seemed well different from "early reggae" due to its jumpy jumpy pace and its infatuation with the acid organ sound. Can we call this category "Reggae-Steady" to show its kinda bridging the other to the one? I think its a significant category to delineate for two reasons) cuz this era marks the first supercharged effort by countless British artists to record and release AND because its the first time Jamaican artists are commonly composing music as a response to British shots, and of course, vice versa. 'Skinhead' as a word and concept doesn't really embrace the Jamaican experience. The upshot of this "bridge" term is that the crossover from JA to UK back to JA was the undeniable reason reggae went international. It's not rocksteady or early reggae, really.

Nice idea http://www.reggae-wise.eu/archief.html looks like I need to find my small axe. Just kidding. It would help with those categories and reviews I'am willing to contribute. But it is indeed a lot of work. Bless
