Greetings Massive,
Selections from Barry Brown and Rod Taylor are crucial to any collection. While Barry has more recordings than Rod, one of my favorite tracks of all time is No One Can Tell I about Jah by Rod Taylor. I read somewhere that these to singers were once in the same group called the Aliens. No hits in the forum or in the database. Is this true or just rumor? Did they record anything?
Respect,
Krawl

Hi Big Krawl-
According to Rod taylor in the liner notes of the new Ethiopian kings comp-Barry Brown, Rod, and a Chinese youth named Johnnie Lee formed a group called the Aliens in 1973. He goes on to talk about shows they did but doesn't mention recording. Mr. Taylor states that Barry Brown sang lead in the Aliens but decided to leave and was replaced by Horace Grossett and the trio changed their name to Blue Jeans.
