OK masses,
Which Freddie McGregor album do you think is his best? What would be your all-time top ten various artists albums?
A lot of these posts have helped me add absolute gems to my collection and I thank all of you

Dont pass on "Bobby Babylon" if you aint got it. ESSENTIAL !!
Various LP's there are so so many. One that springs to mind however, an a real good one is "Calling Rastafari" on the US "Nighthawk" label. No readily available on LP nowadays but the CD is still to be got.
Wicked selections !!

Re: Asking for advice
There is another one quite nice (not listed in roots archives, it seems), a late 70s production by Niney (on Observer...) that feat the second slow cut of Rastaman Camp called *Run Come Rally*...
I would still prefer the first Rastaman Camp recorded by Studio One... and the riddim of the LP version of dis killer is much better than the single, imo! So get Bobby Bobylon first...
Big Ship has early dancehall riddims but tuff, and really roots. Many lover's songs but great, and the mighty *peaceful man*.

Re: Asking for advice
Indeed. Bobby Bobylon is not only my favorite album by Freddie but also one of my favorite albums. Also Roots Man Skanking was reissued not to long ago and I picked this one up. The clarity and sound of the reissue is top notch!!!!
