I was always into LPs almost exclusively. My old collection at the turn of the 80s was 99% on LP.
Then, when I started to try and put that long lost collection back together a couple of years ago I bought a few job lots containing 12 inch 45s.
I soon realised how great this 12 inch disco media is.
I still go for LPs but I think I am now at a point where my 12s equal my LPs in number.
But, try as I might, I can't really get into collecting 7s. They are too short, usually not well made and almost always completely worn out.
What about you? What do you like to collect and spin?
Reggae on 7, 12 or LP - how do you like your roots vinyl?

I prefer 7", 12" and 10".
Sevens for the convenience of having one side with the vocal version and one one with the dub version. that makes me feel good to know when I look at my collection of sevens, it creates a certain harmony wich makes me feel fulfilled.
I like 12" and 10" pretty much because of the same reason, discomixes are my favourite. I dont like weird mixtures such as two different tunes on one side or a tune with a dj-cut but no dubwise (oh, why?!).
LPs are cool but I dont listen to them very much becaus most albums dont contain dub versions and theres always some tracks that I dont really enjoy, with some exceptions.
Thats pretty much it. Im more of a single guy one could say.

I like 12s for the xtended out version of the tune.
I have to admitt i have alot of 7s and barely listen to them.Sometimes i go into fits and haul out 20-30 and listen, but mostly they sit in a closet gathering dust.
I like the 80s rub a dub lps that go tune ,dub, tune dub.I would say those are my faverites to listen to.
However it goes , vinyl rocks.

Ooops, I forgot to mention 10s. I have some awesome 10 inch singles.
I also have a 12 inch 45rpm that has one side at 33rpm and one at 45rpm. I bet that confused a few soundmen along the way!

I have the same situation with sevens. And so many I have bought have been virtually unplayable (even on my old Dansette). So I've stopped buying them, regardless of what's on them.
