Dance of the Drunk Mantis!! I think this is a little bit off topic though :).

My favorite Kung Fu reggae track is "Kung Fu Fighting" by Lee Perry/Mad Professor on the Mystic Warrior album.

yes it is a bit off topic, but i also was reading the pressure sounds down santic way cover and they talk about how kung fu movies were often watched by some of reggaes top names. i figure that is the connection to post here. They mentioned hapi ki do aka lady kung fu. not sure why.i shouldcheck again.

I've recently watched the complete david carradine Kung FU series as well as most of the Bruce Lee films.

I have been doing some kind of martial arts since I was 13, a few years before I got into reggae. The fitness it gave me certainly helped me to skank the night away at reggae dances!

And yes, there does seem to be some connection between reggae and Kung Fu. maybe because Kung Fu was devised by an oppressed class of peaople to defend themselves fromt he downpressers.

Hi a recent favourite of mine is Jet Li Fearless. What a inspirational story of -- even if you mess up bad you can turn it around and be a good person.I like the similarity to that as to the postive messages in roots music.A MUST SEE(his last movie he will ever make also)
I could go on and on this topic.

Has anyone seen Kung Faux? Its hip hop and break beats done to martial arts cut scenes, its quite good.
I ask because could you imagine Martial Arts cut scenes done to roots,dubs.dancehall/wow with the right mixing it would be killer.

i recommend everyone go get a copy of "shogun assassin" whether thru ebay or your local store, not kung fu, but samurai, and one of the best movies ive ever seen, i could be partial due to the fact this is the movie in which The Gza got many of his samples for "liquid swords"
