Skull... Black Slaver Day and more...

Post by Litelet »

Ites...

HAs anybody of you infos on the vocalist "Skulls" that realeased the mighty "Black Slavery Day" for Jack Ruby? Terrific voice... hope to find more!

Apart of the LP Black Slavery Day with his 2 songs and dub... I know only 2 discomixes of the same singer(s)... One is the 12" of the song black slavery day and cant remember the title of the second... but both have different riddims, that really sound like US reggae... (not as good as the JA riddims, imo...)that were probably released far later than the black slavery days session (recorded in 1975).

On the web they say that he's from Jamaica... anybody can help? Who is the singer? Where is he based...? Are there other artist names he used? Other releases he did?
Thanks!!

yes, great to know his name... thanks Pluie
This Ocho Rio Sound from St Ann seems to be the one associated with Jack Ruby... so no surprise it was a big hit with this sound... the tune's so tuff...

Would be good to know now more about his life and other releases... but it looks difficult to go deeper, if the question was already asked ans non-answered...
