Leroy Sibbles "One Away"

Post by Jason Allen »

Can anyone please fill me in on Leroy Sibbles' "One Away" album?
I would like to know the year it was recorded, studio, players, and quality of album (I have now, strictly roots and on top and wonder how this album compares)if anyone has that info.
It's been a hard album for me to get info about.

Leroy Sibbles - One Away. Leggo Records(1999)LGB CD 008. Recorded & Mixed at Leggo Studios, Kingston, JA. Produced by T "Leggo" Douglas. Drums: Sly Dunbar, Leroy "Horse Mouth" Wallace, Squiddly Cole. Bass: Flabba Holt, Robbie Shakespeare, Leroy Sibbles, Chris Meredith. Guitars: Chinna Smith. Keyboards: Keith Sterling, Tony Asha, Obeah Denton. Percussions: Skully, Sticky, Flabba Holt. Harmonies: Leroy Sibbles, Carol Brown, Sharon Forrester. Leroy in fine voice singing mostly lightweight lovers tunes - no roots here! Twelve tracks - on the last five the riddims are harder. It's worth a listen - pleasant but not exceptional.
