Death of Reggae Musicians: Obtaining Accurate Data

How come that when many reggae artists/musicians pass away it is always hard to obtain accurate information surrounding their death?

Information such as this:

Cause of death (natural or murder)?
When they died (accurate dating)?
Who killed them (were they caught?)


In general, whenever I inquire about a reggae artist/musician passing, there's always a "million and one" different versions. Who do you believe? Do you encounter this same problem also?

Is it so bad that when reggae artists/musicians pass away in this time (especially a public figure) that accurate data cant be collected and stored somewhere for public access?

sometimes its because the cause of death is killing, and much of reggae business is badman business which makes it harder to find out
