Ites...

went first exclusively on 7"...
I realised soon that many of my preferred records are Jamaican ones from 1976... culmination of One Drop... at dis time, no 12" and few LPs....

But I enjoy much the good 12" pressings that are much louder... and less worn, the wax is much better. Still many of my best killers can be found only in the 7" boxes...

7 heaven/////.The 7" version changes when its made into a 12" Disco version, maybe thought to be improved but sometimes loses a bit of that raw roots sound. But of course thats only sometimes and I do also collect 10"/12" also.

Leggo, just crate them up and send them to me, I stil love them. The best sound in the world is hearing the needle crunch down onto a snap crackle and pop "new" Studio 1 7" in Peckings!

This weekend i am going to sort them out and make nice plastic jackets for them all.And listen to most of them at the same time ,about 300-500 i would say.
Just yesterday i found 5- 7s at a "junk" shop for .25 cents each.:) ....the neverending quest.

A 'junkie' or an 'addict' is a person who indulges a habit which, while bringing pleasure, may also bring financial and personal ruin.

Sometimes the addict realises his impending doom and tries arious methods to release himself from the addiction. Usually, without success.

So yes, I'm a vinyl junkie alright...

@ Jesco

I never really fancied Sevens. It used to be LPs for me, but lately 12 inch 45s have caught me.

I have Sevens mainly from them being in job lots, or from mistakes (bought off ebay, thought they were 12s, didn't read the decription, DOH! Must try to keep a clear head when bidding in future!)

Some I have because the tune or version I want just isn't available in any other format.

But my rcord decks are some way from my seat, so playing them gives me too much to do when I am supposed to be relaxing!

And while I don't mind a bit of surface noise, I prefer it the music to be louder than the noise!

So maybe you ought to watch my ebay seller account = lesaint33 = over the next few weeks!

Definitely prefer 10's and 12's strictly b/c of better sound quality.

I like getting LP's, but the sound is comprimised when they squeeze more than 3 cuts on one side(which is usually the case on an LP).

You never know what you're getting w/ a 7" (sometimes they sound good and sometimes they're not even playable).
