ALTON ELLIS - A NEW DAY

Post by Roddy »

WOW I always thought the Greats of Studio have had subpar albums in the 80's going up against the early dancehall singers and for the first time i OFFICIALLY heard this album and all i can say is I highly recommend to anyone who hasn't heard it or those who dig in the crates once in a while.

Good Job by the Radics on this one

Yes and all of them nice productions too, but artists and producers on this label seem to be random/unconnected-just a note. I do have a Blackstones LP and a Derrick Lenroy & ringo 12" for sale on this label The Blackstones -colours of love LP is a nice Lovers Rock set. While the D.Lenroy/Ringo -Deep meditation12" is a conscious tune with nice horn section (backed by roots radics?- my guess)-good stuff!

"In a vision" is one of the baddest, wickedest, tuffest tracks that Alton ever sang. Absolutley incredible. I love this otherwise good LP for this track alone !
