'I don't think it should be illegal. I don't think that does anything to help even with stronger drugs. It just drives distribution into the hands of criminals.'
Totally concur leggo - that is why there is so much impurity these days as well as people desperately strive for more profit.
But don't knock the Dutch too much - The coffe shop scene over there really shows that your point is right about legalisation and criminals - in England as a youth I was driven to mix with some very mixed up and sometimes dangerous people just to buy ganja. i was exposed to every other drug going - even offered the classic 'free first hit' of heroin! Over in Holland I can just go and buy what I want - without having to come into contact with these people.
I can also buy traditional imported sensi and 'real hash', they don't just serve the genetically engineered dutch strains!

Im glad to see so much has been put to this post.
i agree with leggo, here in NY i hardly know the origination of the weed.I usually smoke lambsbread & collie, which seems more natural than the "high grade"stuff. Thats why i wonder what is the highest grade of natural erb unaffected the growers. i guess this post really needs to be answered by someone who really knows about growing the erb. . .They need to legalize it now so i & i can nuff ganja in me yard !!!
As far as king tubby goes. i prefer king tubby when stoned, especially the mid 80s stuff more so than his 70's work.

i think reggae fans will be most affected by the smoking ban taking effect in england.live music and sound systems wont be the same without ganja"
That's what space cake is for. Or the infamous cannabis laced yoghurts!

Re: Sensi
Greetings,
Thanks Ganga Lee for the King Tubby suggestion. I've listened to many of his LPs and been unimpressed, so maybe this is the one that will do it for me.
I agree with Leggo Rocker when he says that 'artistry is a natural talent that can be nurtured', etc. That is why I find it hard to believe that I can't think of any examples of un-sensi inspired reggae.. so I am curious.
Living in Northern California, I am lucky enough to know, 90% of the time, exactly the origins of my herb. I know who grew it, the method used (soil/hydro/aeroponics), the fertizilers used (whether organic/chemical), the strain (trainwreck, romulan, sour diesel, etc), the characteristics of the given strain (color, taste, sativa/indica ratio).. etc. With this knowledge, I've been able to identify characteristics of herb from which the origin is unknown.
I don't believe skunk to be mind-rotting. Sure.. If you smoke skunk.. and sit around and watch TV all day, then it could be mind-rotting and hazadarous to one's mental health. However, if you use it to your mental advantage, I believe it can be a powerful tool of creativity. I think that what you do while your stoned can have a great affect on your mind, so you must challenge yourself mentally or have some sort of stimulation.
Just some more thoughts...

Re: Sensi
Haven't been able to smoke at shows here (CA) for some time. Just smoke before!
Then there's Leggo's suggestion about eatables. Smoke before, then munch during--sounds like a plan to me!
In another post, Leggo and I were talking martial arts, which got me thinking about such things. Back when I was studying Shotokan I'd never smoke before going to the dojo. After 90 minutes' hard workout I'd come out just flying.
As has been mentioned, THC is stored in fat, and I'd burned off enough to "free the herb" in a completely different way!

Re: Sensi
Best eat the cake before as it takes 30 minutes to two hours to effect.
Problem is the effect can be unpredictable and some find this method unacceptably strong.
I've seen people have 'bad trips' on cake.
I always liked that unpredictability part - but then I always was a bit of a risk taking mad b*st*rd

Good point about 'spacecakes' or smoking before you get in but its not just about getting high.its adds to the whole atmosphere.you go to a dance and theres that beautiful haze and smell.its all part of this great culture we embrace.this could start a whole generation of bakers!
