"born free" was originally recorded by michael rose. don't know who the backing band was. it is included on the trojan 12" box set, and also the auralux compilation "king jammy in roots". black uhuru recorded the same song under the title "willow tree" on the "black sounds of freedom" lp.

No way! A Black Uhuru tour with Michael Rose singing lead again? That was the greatest reggae band of all time other than the original Wailers. Where are they playing?
