Anyway, one very good & crucial thing for reggae vinyl lovers would be to add a matrix field on vinyl releases ! This sometimes very usefull to find a release or to know wich pressing it is !

Please DONT change the years. It is spot on as it is.

7's are just too many to attempt, and the same probably goes for 12s although I'd love to see that.

What I'd like is some kind of facility that lets you click a box on any LPs you have, and then lets you hit a button that then produces a list of your entire collection - preferably one that allows you to navigate deeper - so you click on the title and it shows artwork, matrix, artists, etc.

Now that would be so cool and a geek-friend of mine even reckons it wouldn't be that hard to add.

How about making a user interface that allows members to submit album information (cover art, session members, years, etc)? Each album submission could go into a queue and await a 1-step approval process by the moderators, or some other definied user role, where it could be either rejected back to the author or commited straight to the roots-archives? This could help automate the archiving process. If any programming help is needed, I am also a web/application developer (back-end to front-end) and would love to help whenever possible. I could also write some diagrams to explain what I'm talking about in more detail.

Roots Archives is the best. Me and my friends do daily playlists and I use this site almost daily. Will be great when review are up, etc. Still my favorite site on the web!

I think the forums should be completely integrated with the site. For example, under the album info, there should be a place where people can comment on the album! this would be great, kind of like an open review forum for each album!

havin a huge collection of reggae roots, it would be nice 2 put on the new site for each album "added the "xx/xx/2007" for ex)like that we would not have to search the one missing for hours and it would be more simple to know which albums our collection miss
