I Have "Trodding Along" on an Observers 7" from the eighties, it sounds like a later production than 1976, does anyone know if he re-recorded it or is it just a re-mix?
(With apologies if I've missed it somewhere along this thread.)

Jesco77 - thanx for the info. 1976 is tentative and may indeed be later. Do you have a Catalogue/Matrix number for that 7inch? Also, which track is on the B side?

Cheers :o)

BassGroove- I'm writing from memory, will dig it out and let you know as soon as. The B side is a version. I got it new around 83-84.

Jesco77 - updated the info
I forgot what a pain it is digging around in the 7inch boxes ;o) I haven't been in mine for a while and never look forward to searching for something ;o)

=========

Bwoyrough - good man - the more the merrier :o)
I think Emmanuel sounds more likely for the original release than 56 Hope Road, as mentioned in an earlier thread, but I really don't know for sure

Oops, apoligies to Litelet ;o)
Just went back and read the threads and 56 Hope Road would appear to be correct - sorree mate :o)

=========

AND... they keep turning up

12inch - Spice Island RN 001
A1 - Reggae George & Jr Demus - Cool It Down Mix #1
A2 - Reggae George & Jr Demus - Cool It Down Mix #2
B1 - Jr Demus - Ambitious People
B2 - Version

a much later Sleng Teng style synth outing with Reggae George really a featured vocalist rather than the main singer. We might even see a compilation of his best work one of these days :o)

I'll update the NFO and upload it to the previous thread as more info comes in

Dub On!

BassGroove, the matrix numbers on the Observers 7" that I have are DSR 3322-A-Spiderman - W Holness and DSR3323-B-Spiderman - W Holness. Tha A side is Trodding Along (R George) Reggae George and the B side is Two Thousand Ver. Observer Style. No clue as to the date but it is definitely a pre-digital early eighties production with the two-to-the bar kick drum.

Apart from being scratchy, a bit off centre and tending to jump it's great!

Jesco77 - cheers - much appreciated :o)
details added to the NFO

I've also added an alphabetical listing of song titles to the NFO but have still to check singles against album tracks etc to see if there are any differences (a few will get eliminated from the list if they are the same). I think Stop Push The Fire for example is the same on both single and album - if I remember correctly. Will get around to it eventually ;o)

'Apart from being scratchy, a bit off centre and tending to jump it's great!'

he he :o)

I've got a Prince Buster single on Blue Beat that can give you sea sickness just looking at it playing but, it plays perfectly! It must be a one inch warp at least ;o)

Dub On!
