Abe Broadway

Post by Rootikalist »

Greets! Some days ago i recived a nice 7'' on Standard label. The singer is Abe Broadadway, the group is Peace Love & Unity (i think) and the name of the tune is Good Old Days

Looking betwen my records i find a 7'' on Arabic label,it's sang and produced by Abe Bradway and the group is The Deplomats, the title is Jam Down Girl....

Is the Deplomats and Peace Love & Unity the same group? Who is/was Abe Broadway? Do you know something other of him?

Thanks

According to Roots Knotty Roots his real name is Abe Rodway and he released about a dozen songs under different names(one of them being Peace ,Love and Unity) . I have 2, "Caymanas Rock" , an instrumental which I don't really credit, but also " take away" which is wonderful.

Think that "Diplomats" are the same group as Peace Love & Unity as Abe's song "cocaine" is also on the Arabic label.
Any chance of sharing that Good Old Days song? Then please PM me!

happy to see some info

i'm not 100% sure but i've seen "cocain" on standard...and not on Arabic

For some listen...this is the deplomats "Jam Dung Girl" backed by Roots Radics

http://www.strictly-vibes.com/the-deplo ... =deplomats

And this is "good old days",on my oppinion the best one

Even "Take Away" is nice...on Tradition label

It's strange, because the tune "Good Old Days" by Peace Love & Unity is also here

http://www.strictly-vibes.com/peace-lov ... good++days

But it's not the same song as you mentionned, Rootikalist.

Both of them are speaking of good old days...
Strange, witch one is then sung by Peace Love & Unity?

The version on strictly-vibes is kind of great! The guitar riff ridding the rythme
