Burial Riddim

Post by garnetalon »

Hi All

I am a big fan of the many different riddim versions you find in reggae music.

One of my all time fave is the Burial Riddim - any of you out there care to add to my list of covers for this tune.

Many thanx Garnetalon

House Raid - Augustus Pablo
Burial - Bunny Wailer
Natty Burial - Lone Ranger
Burial - Peter Tosh
Burial - The Revelutionaries

Black Phoenix by Black Magic on the LP "Black Magic Dub" must be one of the best if not the best.

Check : http://www.roots-archives.com/release/4200

Tough, powerful and deep dub music

As far as i know, this lp does not exist on CD and it would certainely benefit from being reissued.

Who sang on the version of the riddim. It sounds like a Harry Mudie/Treasure Isle version.

This is Tristan Palmer and Lone Ranger Live DC in 1981

"Undertaker's Burial" by The Crystalites might get you in the right direction - http://www.zshare.net/download/249995715aa0e7/

Ah, I think it's Derrick Harriott & The Crystalites - "The Undertaker" - http://www.roots-archives.com/release/2 ... ight=37433.
