New Roots Archives Features

Dear Friends,

After some heavy work, we are lauching today some new features on Roots Archives.

First we'd like to thank people who have been spending (lots of) time working on these new features (without particular order) ; Aaron, Bellyman, Hans, Juha, Ron.

Here are the new features :

- "Categories" have been added to albums pages. You will find musical styles info like roots, dancehall, dub, dj, etc ... on (almost) every album page

- ["Dub Albums"](/dub/) link on the left menu. This link will lead you to every albums listed as dub album (and ONLY dub album, excluding albums with multiple styles as vocal & dub).

This is a first step to a new way of browsing Roots Archives, we'll add little by little all other categories, probably beginning with DJ albums.
For now we have used the text written by Steve Barrow & Peter Dalton on the second edition of the [Rough Guide to Reggae](http://www.roughguides.com/website/shop ... eggae.aspx). If you feel like you can do better than this article, please start a thread on the message board and submit a first draft. It would be nice if we can write our own "definition" of what dub is with references, dates & facts etc ....

- ["2007 releases"](/2007_releases/) link on the left menu. It simply lists all the 2007 releases on roots-archives. We'll try to add soon 2006, 2005 etc ... back to the late 60s, allowing you to browse the website by release date for all albums.

thanks for making this site better then it already was!
Thanks to the other guys who are helping!
I was very busy with my wedding (got married june30th) but i'll be more active with music again shortly.

If anybody has messages/requests etc from Rohan Lee let me know.
He came over from Jamaica for my wedding and played some acoustic songs.
He will be in europe till august 25...anybody that wants to contact him for voicing things or gigs please send me an e-mail.
