I want to know.What was the real name for Zimbabwe Dread.I know Dillinger was Lester Bullock,Augustus Pablo was Horace Swaby and the list goes on...but who was Zimbabwe dread?Does anyone have a photo(not cover art)for Zimbabwe Dread.Is he still alive or dead.
If Roy cousin and Scientist are still alive i feel these could be a better source of this info.
Now he is Baba dread.I am confused.Some one please shade more light on this as he is my favourite Dj ever.

Not sure what his real name is, but these are the liner notes by Roy Cousins from the recently reissued "Earthman Connection";
"Earthman Connection was voiced and mixed at Channel 1 Studios. Engineered by Ernest Hookim 1978-1979.
This album was first released in the United Kingdom in 1978, under license from tamoki-wambesi-dove, by Kingdom Records, 9-11 Monmouth Street, London WC2H 9DA.
Earthman Connection was released by Kingdom Records who changed the name of the artist from Baba Dread to Zimbabwe Dread.
Baba Dread at the time of recording this album was the top sound system DJ from the parish of Clarendon, Jamaica, West Indies.
To Tamoki-Wambesi-Dove knowledge Earthman Connection is Baba Dreads only album made by the artist.
Tamoki-Wambesi-Dove rerelease Earthman Connection on CD with bonus tracks from Copie Copewell, The Royals, Winston Jarrett and Knowledge.
Nuff respect to all Reggae fans - Roy Cousins."
