Psalm of David (Cry Tuff)

Post by Fat Eyes »

I have a tune by Prince Far I called "Psalm of David" on a Cry Tuff 7". Can anyone tell me if this tune is also on the "Psalms for I" album or on any album?

It is not on Psalms For I (under that title at least)
but if you go to princefari.com and the site has a forum where the man Dub Matrix can help with questions like that.

What are the words to that Psalm? Or do you have a sound clip? I have the LP so could confirm if the track is on it.

It is a VERY VERY good LP for all fans of heavy roots and Prince Far I in particular. One of my long term favourites.

greetings,
the dub of 'Psalms Of David' is also the track: 'Stone African Ground' on Cry Tuff Dub Encounter chapter IV.
An album close to me soul (wayback). I discovered the 7"single-sound later on (also Conscious Radio helped). The song and the instrumental on the B-side (40 days & 40 nights, so called Lynch-Riddim), well..., it moves I Ites an troubles I waist, but that's rnld. Thanks for mentioning the track of Prince Far I, people.

I'll check the lyrics later when I can. All I can remember it has a very tuff bassline.

Yes, and the bassline on the Psalms Far I LP is also absolutely seismic - its thunder is only matched by Far I's larger than life voice.
