Nice one Lion - love those Ska legends - great that they have managed to survive and also meet the challenges as the music changed through the years. One of the main reasons I like the old Ska better than any later stuff is the quality of the musicianship - many of the Skatalites had years of 'big band' experience before the Ska years, and i think this shows on the Ska of the 60's! The early stuff may lack the polished studio production of later stuff (that's probably a good thing anyway), but the later stuff still sounds thin by comparison!

I follow them from the first time they came on tour ina 1993.
