Winston McAnuff?

Post by Haide Rasta »

Greetings and Love people

Well, I watched the "Deep Roots" documentary, great work. What I'd like to ask you is who are the people who play the great song "Fear" of Winston McAnuff in the second episode of the series? Is the lead singer McAnuff? Who are the rest people of the dread crew?

And by the way, why McAnuff is not a star? He has great songs and a unique style.

Just to answer two of your questions... yes it is McAnuff... and in a way him a star... but a late star, his stuff with Fatman Inner Circle is much appreciated by the roots addicted and gave him a second rise with the Makasound re-release...
I dont love that much the song feat in DR, but still nice. Same for the rest of his stuff, its good but not to be compared with his Man A Deal With session...

I havent recognised the rest of the crew but am certain to have read it already, so you should find your answer.

Did anyone see the MIAMI VICE episode with Winston McAnuff in it? Well, its true...He's frozen so the Japanese scientists can extract his DNA to re-create a BOB Marley type artist!!!! CRAZY!!!! He is truly the Electric Dread..Also, the brains behind MAKASOUND!!!! What A Man Deal Wit is one of the greatest songs against ALL the Dreadlock Rasta Imposters!!!! We are working on getting him stateside in San Diego right now!!!

The tune they perform on Deep Roots is wicked, Black Kush didn't release anything as far as i'm awhere, maybe one 7", the subject has been discussed several times on various forums, such a shame they didn't release more, he was a great character back in the day as u can see on deep roots.
Winston has released a dvd with the bambazz orchestra, i didn;t realize he was the man behind makasound, first time i heard this, they done some great things with there videos.

Deep roots vol.1+2 (on one dvd)is out in the shops,
the full 6 episodes should be release on a 2x dvd set(by a different company to the above release) 1 week today(13th Aug. all being well)
