James,
Ras Takashi plays the melodica in Dubsensemania and Dasher plays it with Cultivator.
I have a DVD, MELODIOUS RIDDIM, which is about the Japanese Reggae scene and has live footage and interviews with them
and with other artists including MUTE BEAT.(well worth getting)

Thanks for clarifying Selecta Bing. I listened to Appearance by Dubsensemania again today and it sounded like real melodica to me. Thought I was losing it there for a bit. :)

Wish Ras Takashi got his credit on that album and Inna di Kitchen, though. That doesn't seem right. He's really good!
Peace,

James

I truly enjoy Peter Tosh's A Little Melodica cut to Jimmy London's A Little Love.

And Bobby Kalphat's Raw Roots version to Big Youth Dreadlocks Dread!
