The first Studio One album and then Wild Suspense
Wailing was a good record as well

Re: Best album from the Wailing Souls?
Ites are right, only "Wailing souls" and "wild suspense" are decent albums with lot of killers, all the rest of their albums have only 1 or 2 real great songs only in, their "very best of" is a very good compilation.

This one is IMO the best one: "Thae Best Of" (Empire)
http://www.roots-archives.com/release/2979
More or less the core of the Pressure Sounds comp.

I must be missing something. I had Wild Supsense and played it several times, unable to get into it.Ites wrote:The first Studio One album and then Wild Suspense

So I sold it. And I don't often sell ANYTHING I don't have duplicates of!

From one mod to the other...
if you like this one
[cover=2969,3399] or this [cover=6397,2979]
you will like this one
[cover=618,730]
or even more this one
[cover=617,730]
The one that will get you hooked is still missing in the archives (think I have to change that). Try to get a copy of 'Jah Shaka presents Dub Masters Volume 1' (Island/Mango MLPM 1001, c&p 1989) featuring among others the dubplate versions of Wailing Souls' "Very Well", "Row Fisherman" and "Wild Suspense" in dub.

Let me know if Wild Suspense does grow on you 6anbatte, I listened three or four time and it didn't take root with me.
Shame, as the LP was mint, vinyl and cover and sold for peanuts.
