Bob Marley: Songs of Freedom Box Set - Vinyl Version

I need some help! I was at a garage sale today and I stumbled upon the songs of freedom box set, but in vinyl. At only $8.00 I had to buy it! I was completely unaware that this box set was released on vinyl. The set does not have a limited edition number like the long box '92 version, it contains 8 records/ 2 per sleeve, and it has the Tuff Gong record logo on the record labels. Does anybody have any info on this set? Like why the vinyl box set was not on any of the promo posters, where this set originated, etc...

I only have it on cd. I never heard about a vinyl-edition!

Mine is # 0491478, I got mine new in 92 maybe 93 on my 12th or 13th B-day (I forget)

Yup ! My first ever album was "Rastaman Vibration" on my 5th birthday from my pops, My father educated me on music, while my friends were listening to Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg, I was listening to Bob Marley and Jimi Hendrix, The best education I have ever received, By far.

i bought a later release on cd which came about 7 years after the first longbox one, the one i got was a square cd size box, a bit wider with cds in paper sleeves inside, no book with this like i think the longbox one had. Wicked marley set tho, luv ride natty ride+all the 12"'s
