Hi Marc,
don't know if I can help you but it all depends on the matrix number of the pressing. As far as I know the 7" was originally released with the 'RRM 00-3'matrix which is the 1972 pressing which will sell for some money if you can find a collector who really wants this record. A later pressing will have a 'RRM 1998'matrix and will justify the 50 cent that you gave for it.
Greetings.

hi guys
talking about roy richards the blind genius from jamaica;a friend of mine living in paris gave me a tape coming from a record with a blank label, alive recording with a heavy roots backing band at home with roots reggar calypso and squadrille and which is remindful of the soul syndicate or the beverly all stars with jackie jackson and so on.he said that 1977 was the year of release and the venue must have been probably a tiny one ,a cabaret probably judjing by the audience.sets include wailers"nice time","the liquidator"among other well known tunes.does such a recording sound a bell in you guys, particularly bellyman,
love

Hi Fadel,
only thing that comes to my mind is a record I have only seen but never heard. It is called 'The Good Old Days - Quadrille' and is on Joe Gibbs label who has released some 'strange' records during the late 1970s. It could be from 1977 or so.
If you like the club sound I recommend 'Live at the Turntable Club' on Trojan from 1975. Story has it that this shall be the first-ever live album in reggae history. Featured artists are Dennis Brown, Big Youth, Delroy Wilson and one Alexander Portious (hilarious, he is blowing 'Everything I own' and 'Love Overdue' on a comb !!!).
Until now this is one of the very few records that have not seen rerelease through Trojan.
