Song 2 should be 'Do Good Girl' by Chester Coke (Solid State 7") but I have never heard the full vocal.. My 7" is a deejay cut over the dub of Do Good Girl by someone I cant identify (even though it has the label of Do Good Girl credited to Chester Coke.. (further on in the tune you can hear 'Do Good Girl and it will follow you all the days of your life life life so it makes sense I guess.)

Do you have the full vocal or does the vocal stop a little after what you wrote by the way?

Hi Mashdownfortyfive

From the sounds of it I have the same song as you (there is a DJ in the background saying something about 1966!). Thanks for the heads up tho!.

You're uber-welcome Meowbabe ! I am very happy to help if I can... I don't know anything else from these guys, unless they recorded under another name. I love to collect these obscure tunes which are very rare, but not expensive, because nobody knows them !
If you love that style, you should also check groups like the Africans (King of the Congo, Have a grand time, Life in the ghetto, Earth runnings) or the Fudgie Brothers (Hard times, Peace and love, Tribute to the great). Uplifting music !

Anbessa,

Its obvious that you know your music and the more obscure the better. Do you have any ideas on any of the other songs? I have all my music on old memorex tapes, lovingly 'stolen' from my father as these are the tapes/music of my childhood and I know these tapes are soon to disintergrate as they are beyond ancient. I will definitely check out your other recommendations. Googled Rupert and the Fabulous Two and didn't come up with a thing - what to do what to do....???

Unfortunately, I don't know any other tune from that list... I'll ask some people around me.
You said this is the music of your childhood ??? Man, you grew up with serious tunes !!!
If you're lucky you might find some on ebay. Nobody ever bids on them when they're listed, because they're not "Shaka killers"...
I'm not very good with computers, but I'll try and send you some tunes in mp3 files. Just let me know your email adress.

Yeah my dad was quite a "conscious yoot" in his day so there was always some ital music to be heard in the house and it infected us kiddies in the nicest possible way. Some of the tunes bring me right back in time....

my email address is meowbabe1973@yahoo.co.uk.

Thanks so much. You are a star.....
