Yes, that would be for the better. I think that the eradication of old time dub as in versioning songs is because of riddim culture. Coz it would be obvious to make dub albums of nu-roots album wouldnt it? But you cant when they're all using the same riddim! I am not trying to say that you should stop using riddims at all! I love riddims! I just think thats the reason that it stopped. Because then all dub album's of nu-roots would sound the same
Well I make all my own riddims - so at least mine are different from anything else you will hear - but yeah - give me someone creating new songs with roots style, and I will happily strip them down to a dub version in the old fashioned way for you!
